Krueger-HVAC Releases K-Select 12.0 Selection Software for Fan Coils
(PRWEB) January 06, 2014 -- Built using the latest technology, K-Select 12.0 provides engineers and architects with a program that facilitates the selection of grilles, registers, diffusers, terminal units, and now fan coil products. Its clean, sleek style organizes selections in a clear manner, making it effortless to begin making standard selections. Once into the product’s configurable options, such as electric heat, details are presented with the same simplicity, all from the same screen. Better yet, the built-in calculation tools and internal validation checks ensure that the selections made are available.
“Highly configurable products like fan coils require a selection process which is not only easy for engineers to perform, but will also remove the risk of making poor selections,” said Paul Christiansen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Krueger-HVAC. “One of the great features of the program is the auto-size option, where engineers can see a range of product sizes and performance information that fit their base criteria. By removing the guesswork from the process, they are able to proceed through the selections more quickly, with confidence.”
Like its previous version, K-Select 12.0 includes many time saving features. With just a single click, an engineer can make a global change to either a specific setting or configuration across all the fan coil units specified in a particular job. Such changes include an adjustment of the external static pressures, electric heat voltage, motor type or motor voltage, and for hot water calculations in particular, one can modify the fluid type, percentage of Glycol, or entering water temperature. For coils specifically, the auto select feature allows an engineer to select from a number of coil rows needed in order to meet performance. If however the product has more stringent requirements than the standard choices provided in the software, one can simply enter the required parameters manually and make adjustments to meet the necessary outputs.
Features for Fan Coil Units in K-Select:
• Ability to save master defaults to specific options for future projects.
• Incorporated functionality with a ‘drag and drop’ sortable schedule.
• Improved the display of exported files to Microsoft® Excel®, Microsoft® Word®, and Adobe® PDF.
• Incorporated ‘auto-size’ option to display multiple size options per selection.
• Incorporated ‘save and new’ button to quickly add another selection.
Once selections have been made, generating product and performance information is simple. Available are two different types of reports, the first being a standard project schedule that is organized by unit type. The second offers a more detailed look at each individual unit selection. Complete with export options to Microsoft® Excel®, Microsoft® Word®, or Adobe® PDF, engineers will appreciate both the ability to customize the presentation of material as well as the ease of distributing job information.
For engineers that already have the previous version installed (K-Select 11.0), performing an update from within the program will upgrade the software to version 12.0. Alternatively, for those that want to begin using it, we have the download on our website at http://www.krueger-hvac.com/.
