I love being able to help different communities by giving back in any way that I can and since I started these neighborhood garage sales, the communities love them as well. It is amazing to see people so willing to be a part of this amazing event.
NEWTON, Pa. (PRWEB) May 30, 2019
This year’s event takes place on June 1 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Cobalt Ridge. She recently had one in Snowball Gate on May 18. “This garage sale is open to the community and I encourage everyone to participate,” said Rivera, who has been hosting garage sales for 4 years. “I love being able to help different communities by giving back in any way that I can and since I started these neighborhood garage sales, the communities love them as well. It is amazing to see people so willing to be a part of this amazing event.”
In addition to fostering community spirit, Rivera’s garage sales are a way to help her clients who participate declutter their homes and get rid of unwanted items. At a previous garage sale, a client of Rivera’s was moving to Alaska and was able to unload almost half of her home furnishings, which made her move smooth and stress-free.
“A garage sale is a great way for you to get to know your neighbors, declutter your home and make some cash at the same time,” noted Rivera. “We handle all of the details: signage, advertising (including social media), mailbox balloon and a map highlighting participating homes.”

“Following the garage sale, I will contact you to see if you have any items you’d like to donate to the Military Order of the Purple Heart,” concluded Rivera.
For more than 50 years, the Military Order of the Purple Heart has provided valuable resources and support for veterans and their families. Whether it is helping a wounded soldier at the VA or providing essential guidance to their families at home, the Purple Heart is a critical support system for all of our veterans. Through GreenDrop, your donations of lightly used clothing and household goods can help change a veteran’s life.
