Eat|See|Hear Presents Outdoor Screening of “Beverly Hills Cop” in Santa Monica
Santa Monica, California (PRWEB) May 11, 2015 -- Showtime presents Eat|See|Hear, LA’s premier outdoor movie, food truck and live music event series, will be in Santa Monica on Saturday, May 16, to showcase the 1980s hit, Beverly Hills Cop. This fun, lighthearted comedy, shares the adventures of Detroit detective, Axel Foley (played by Eddie Murphy), who travels to Beverly Hills to investigate his friend’s murder. There, he discovers a large, illegal drug front. One shootout ensues after another, until Axel brings down the bad guys and saves the day.
This event will be held at Santa Monica High School’s Memorial Greek Amphitheatre, located at 601 Pico Blvd. The film will be projected onto Eat|See|Hear’s three-story high, 52-foot wide inflatable movie screen, offering an unrivaled outdoor movie experience with digital HD projection.
The movie begins at 8:30 pm and doors open at 5:30 pm. Movie goers are encouraged to come early to experience the entire event - food trucks, live music, an excuse to chill out with your friends playing games or just relaxing. Since this is a concrete amphitheater with built-in seating, bringing pillows, cushions and blankets is strongly recommended. Once seated and comfortable, attendees can enjoy the electronic R&B performance of the LA–based band Milo Bloom, scheduled to take the stage at 7 pm.
Plenty of food trucks will be on hand, offering a variety of snack foods and meals. The lineup includes Foodism, Sista Soul Food, Asian Cravings, Postcars CAS, Boba Ni Taco, Kimbobrex, Carolina Meat Company, Sweet E’s, and Coolhaus and Brasil Kiss.
Parking is available at the Civic Center Parking Structure at 333 Civic Center Drive, which is across the street from Santa Monica High School. Attendees are asked to enter the amphitheater through the walkway on 4th Street, between the track and the DoubleTree Hotel.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance. General admission tickets are $12 each for adults, $8 for children 5-12 years old, and free for children 5 and under. In addition, a limited number of “Air New Zealand Fashionably Late” passes are available for purchase online, granting seating in a reserved area regardless of arrival time.
Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome at all Eat|See|Hear events. Upon arrival, every dog is treated with a free biscuit at the door.
