EAST THETFORD, Vt. (PRWEB) January 21, 2019
Lantana Consulting Group, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Trifolia-on-FHIR, a new tool for authoring and publishing HL7® FHIR® implementation guides (IGs) and one of the first FHIR tools to support the latest release (FHIR R4/STU3). The FHIR-based tool complements Lantana’s Trifolia Workbench with which 1,350 users have authored over 200 CDA® IGs. Both versions of Trifolia, for FHIR and CDA, are open source.
Trifolia-on-FHIR is an online tool that integrates the FHIR IG Publishing Tool within the application. The Lantana tool simplifies the process of authoring FHIR IGs and can create FHIR profiles, extensions, value sets, questionnaires, diagrams, and other artifacts.
Trifolia-on-FHIR integrates with the Value Set Authority Center (VSAC) for terminology management. Users can add content to Trifolia-on-FHIR via drag and drop, by copying/pasting FHIR XML and JSON from their local computers into the application, or by importing content from GitHub.
A beta version of Trifolia-on-FHIR is being used by the payer community via the Da Vinci Project to define the FHIR data set requested from an EHR when a new patient is registered. Additional anticipated users include provider organizations who need more than the minimum data elements required by Meaningful Use (MU)/Promoting Interoperability to support care coordination. In this case, they could start with the MU-compliant C-CDA on FHIR profiles and use Trifolia-on-FHIR to define additional required data elements and share the resulting IG within their network to support document creation and validation.
