Join Los Angeles Outdoor Movie Event Series Eat|See|Hear for a Screening of the Breakfast Club August 15 at the Autry National Center
Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWEB) August 12, 2015 -- Presented by Showtime Networks, Eat|See|Hear, LA’s original traveling outdoor movie series, will be showing the classic favorite John Hughes film The Breakfast Club on Saturday, August 15. This event will be held at the Autry National Center, located at 4700 Western Heritage Way in Griffith Park. Showtime is at 8:30 p.m.
Awarded with “Best Outdoor Movie Event” by Los Angeles Magazine’s Best of LA 2014, Eat|See|Hear combines multiple outdoor events into one: picnic and “chill time” with friends.
The following food trucks will be on site ready to serve you when doors open at 5:30 p.m: Tokyo Doggie Style, Me So Hungry, Roll’n Lobster, Foodism, Steamy Bun, LuckDish Curry, Let’s Roll It, Chanchos Tacos, Baby’s Badass Burgers, No Jodas Kitchen, Crepe de Ville, Coolhaus and Brasil Kiss.
Celebrating 30 years since it was first released in 1985, The Breakfast Club recounts the tale of five students with nothing in common, faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their high school library. At 7 a.m., they had nothing to say, but by 4 p.m., they had bared their souls. This hilarious and often touching comedy is Rated R, and stars Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy.
The event will also feature Live Music by LA's own pop music band: Jr. Music begins at 7:30 p.m.
“Since this venue is a grassy lawn, movie goers should bring pillows, cushions and blankets to sit on during the show,” suggests Sharon Sperber, co-owner of Eat|See|Hear.
Also, bring your furry friend. Eat|See|Hear is LA's most dog-friendly event series. “Leashed, friendly dogs are always welcomed with a free biscuit at the entrance and water bowls all around,” Sperber says.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/eat-see-hear-the-breakfast-club-outdoor-movie-tickets-16373232780. Prices for general admission are $12, kids 5 to12 years old are $8, and kids under 5 are free.
In addition to general admission tickets, a limited number of “Air New Zealand Fashionably Late” passes are available for purchase in advance at the Eventbrite website, granting seating in a reserved area, regardless of arrival time.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. To enter please use the main entrance adjacent to the Autry Museum building on the event lawn. Free parking is available across the street at the LA Zoo.
