LA Outdoor Cinema Eat|See|Hear Sold Out Opening Night Event at Santa Monica High School
Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) May 13, 2014 -- Los Angeles outdoor movie event series Eat|See|Hear held a sold-out opening night event on Saturday, May 10 at Santa Monica High School. While tickets are available in advance and at the door, sales ceased nearly one hour prior to the start of the film as the venue was filled to capacity.
The opening night event was held in the Greek Amphitheater at Santa Monica High School. Eat|See|Hear travels around Los Angeles and hosts outdoor movie events with food trucks and live music at a variety of venues around the city. Unlike other venues that offer open and spacious lawn seating, the amphitheater has a max capacity and provides a specific number of available seating. The amphitheater can accommodate over 2500 visitors, and capacity was reached by 7:45 p.m. on Saturday night.
The opening night event included a performance by LA band Derde Verde with an acoustic set by Avid Dancer and showed the film "500 Days of Summer" starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
“We are so excited to have sold out our opening night event!” said Sharon Sperber, executive producer of Eat|See|Hear. “It was a great night overall and we were thrilled to see more than 2500 people come out to experience LA food trucks, a performance by Derde Verde and join us to watch '500 Days of Summer.' Because this venue has limited seating, we recommend people purchase tickets in advance for upcoming events at Santa Monica High School.”
Upcoming events scheduled at Santa Monica High School will be held on the following Saturdays: May 17, June 14, June 21, July 12 and July 26. Eat|See|Hear encourages those interested in attending to purchase tickets in advance online to ensure they are not turned away because the event is sold out.
