Now operators aren’t limited by the length of the power cord to how much area they can cover in a tank or on a platform. They are always safe.

Larson Electronics has released an explosion proof low voltage light cart. The cart is another addition to the company’s roster of mobile lighting solutions.
This mobile light cart is designed to provide operators in hazardous locations with four mobile drop lights operating on 12 or 24 volt AC and comes complete with 50 feet of SOOW explosion proof cord and 5-15 plugs. Constructed of aluminum, this cart is mounted on no-flat rubber tires and contains a 500 watt step down transformer that converts 120 VAC current to 12 Volts DC. Included with this cart are four 12 volt explosion proof hand lamps (100 watt Class 1 Division 1 and 75 watt Class 2 Division 1). Each lamp has its own dedicated outlet and is connected to the cart with 50 feet of SOOW cord.
The four included drop lights operate off 12 or 24 VAC current supplied by the transformer and are rated Class 1 Division 1 (100 Watts) and Class 2 Division 1 (75 Watts). Each lamp is connected to the cart with 50 feet of SOOW explosion proof cord to provide ample maneuverability in the workspace. The non sparking aluminum cart has a single integrated handle, is powder coated, and mounted atop no-flat rubber tires to allow easy movement about the workplace.
“With this lighting package operators can bring the cart, transformer and lighting into the hazardous area,” Rob Bresnahan, with Larsonelectronics.com, said. “Now operators aren’t limited by the length of the power cord to how much area they can cover in a tank or on a platform. They are always safe.”
