New Explosion Proof Fluorescent Light from Larson Electronics Provides Dimming Capability
Kemp, TX (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- The Larson Electronics dimmable explosion proof fluorescent light fixture offers the power and security of explosion proof fluorescent lighting combined with the versatility of dimmable operation. This 4 foot long explosion proof fixture features two T5HO lamps as standard equipment and is approved for use in paint spray booth applications. The housing is constructed of non sparking aluminum for light weight and high durability, and an aluminum reflector with high gloss finish provides excellent light dispersion and distribution. The fluorescent lamps are protected by Pyrex tubes, and screw on end caps provide easier relamping as well as more secure closure after servicing than knock off end caps. This explosion proof fluorescent light has been equipped with an advanced Mark 7 ballast that allows for dimmable operation, letting operators control light output for more precise control of the illumination reaching the targeted area. Mounting for this explosion proof light is provided by standard brackets on each end that can be set for angle placement and locked into place as desired with set screws. Larson Electronics also offers pendant mounting configurations for those operators who need more clearance between the fixture and the mounting surface. Wiring is done through ½ inch threaded conduit openings, letting operators provide secure and compliant connections as needed. This fluorescent fixture is designed to operate with voltages ranging from 120 to 277 VAC, making it capable of working with the most common standard available currents in use today. Certifications for this light include US/Canada UL Class 1 Division 1 & 2 Groups A, B, C and D, Class 2 Division 1 & 2, paint booth approval, and UL 1598 and 595 Marine Type. This explosion proof light is ideal for operators who need high power in a HAZLOC compliant fixture that can also be precisely controlled for the desired amount of light output when applications call for more subdued illumination.
“We are now able to offer a dimmable option for our most popular explosion proof fluorescent lights,” said Rob Bresnahan with LarsonElectronics.com. “For customers looking for dimmable paint booth lighting, the EPL-48-2L-T5HO-D offers the same C1D1 ratings and is equipped with a dimmable ballast.”
