Larson Electronics releases a Class 1 Division 1 LED Tank Light for Low Voltage Operation

This unit is designed to work on 11-25 volts for applications that require only low voltage operation.

The EPL-16C-150LED-RT-LV low voltage LED tank light from Larson Electronics is rated Class 1 & 2 Division 1 & 2 and is a cart mounted explosion proof light that provides 10,000 square feet of work area coverage while producing 13,000 lumens of light from 150 watts. This portable LED cart light has a removable light head measuring 16 inches wide by 14 inches tall which allows the unit to fit through standard sized manholes or entry passages commonly found in the petrochemical and marine industries. The portability combined with the 360 degrees of rotation and 90 degrees of tilt offered by the LED light head provides an effective alternative to often cumbersome explosion proof string lights.

Included with this portable cart is 250 feet of SOOW cord terminated in an explosion proof plug. This unit is multi-voltage capable and is configured to operate on a range from 11 to 25 volts DC/AC. This explosion proof LED light fixture is IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high pressure jets and temporary submersion. The cast aluminum body and LED lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LEDs and electronics. This lamp is T5 temperature rated and retains 80% of its lumen output after 50,000 hours of use, far longer than incandescent or fluorescent lamps.

“Often simply referred to as a ‘tank light’, this unit is considered universal due to its ability to be passed through any conventional manhole such as those found in petrochemical containers and ship storage tanks,” Rob Bresnahan with said. “This unit is designed to work on 11-25 volts for applications that require only low voltage operation.”
