Four Seasons Sunrooms Makes Acquisition, Changes Structure, Appoints Chief Marketing Officer

Four Seasons Sunrooms announced today the acquisition of Metals USA Building Products – Patio of Fort Lauderdale, FL; the concurrent formation of Latium USA as the umbrella holding company for all divisions, and the appointment of Stefan Figley as Chief Marketing Officer.

Latium USA, owned by Brian and Shaun Kennedy, becomes the American arm of Latium UK, owned and founded by Brian Kennedy.

Latium USA/Four Seasons President Shaun Kennedy said, "We have emerged in a strong position following a difficult period for the industry. These important steps will help us capitalize on our special niche in the home improvement industry." Four Seasons Sunrooms, founded in 1975, has more than 300 franchises throughout the United States along with 12 company-owned retail locations.

The Metals USA Building Products - Patio acquisition was closed July 31, and its name is changing to Metals Building Products. It is an industry leader in patio cover materials.

Latium USA has been formed to provide overall direction and marketing support for all its divisions: Four Seasons Sunrooms franchises, Four Seasons Home Products retail and Metals Building Products.

Stefan Figley joined Four Seasons Sunrooms in July as Chief Marketing Officer and will continue in that role for Latium USA. He joins Kennedy, Chief Financial Officer Bob Aitken and Chief Manufacturing Officer Brian Fabian as the Latium USA leadership team. Figley comes from Merry Maids, where he was also CMO, after national and international marketing roles with the Leo Burnett agency.

Kennedy said, "The Latium USA structure and leadership will make us even better positioned as the industry recovers. The changes mark the formation of a major vertically integrated home remodeling group with a sunroom franchise company, a retail multi-product company and a national building products company." He indicated that Latium USA will be seeking further acquisitions.

The divisions will operate independently, with self-reliant marketing, sales and P&L accountability under the overall guidance and supervision of Latium USA. The leaders of Latium USA and all the divisions are dedicated and vested in the business, and are a driving force behind delivering the best products and customer service expected from such companies.

Latium USA is headquartered in Holbrook, New York along with its Four Seasons Sunrooms and home manufacturing facility. Its divisions are:

Four Seasons Sunrooms: A national franchise and dealer organization headed by COO, Pat Marron. Four Seasons Sunrooms is a national source for construction and products related to "outdoor living." The franchise business will continue to focus on adding value to its sunroom business and its franchisees network without additional product distraction.

Four Seasons Home Products: This corporately owned and operated retail division manufactures and sells top-of-the-line sunrooms, solariums and room additions. Building on its original expertise in "glass houses," the division also offers energy-efficient windows of exceptional quality as well as kitchen remodeling with custom cabinets and countertops. The division is led by COO Peter Allen and Vice President of Sales, Mike Oliveras.

Metals Building Products: Formerly Metals USA, this new acquisition will continue without change in providing metal building products nationally including patio covers, pool enclosures, carports, shutters and canopies under the continued direction of COO Hugh Gray.
