OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- LaunchDarkly has announced the first annual Trajectory conference on April 8-9 in downtown Oakland, California. The conference will create a space for the software community to discuss how modern teams are delivering more application features faster while limiting the risks associated with rapid development practices.
LaunchDarkly is a feature management platform with over 500 customers globally, serving more than 100 billion feature flags each day. The company has seen when teams aren't inhibited by the fear of breaking things, they can collaborate more effectively, get feedback sooner, validate their ideas and have control over the software they're putting into the world.
"I've visited customers all over the world who are using feature management to improve their software processes and make their own customers happier. We're excited to bring industry innovators together so they can share their own success stories," said Edith Harbaugh, co-founder and CEO of LaunchDarkly.
Trajectory will feature speakers who are leading the charge for better development and release practices at their organizations. Self-described as a conference for software innovators who want to break orbit, not systems, Trajectory will feature two tracks of content: one focused on DevOps best practices and the other on future vision. Topics covered will include testing in production, progressive delivery, observability, experimentation, continuous delivery, chaos engineering, microservices, and DevOps 2.0 to name a few.
With a keynote from Adrian Cockcroft, VP Cloud Architecture Strategy at AWS, sessions will be led by well-known software leaders including Cindy Alvarez, Principal PM Manager at Microsoft, and LaunchDarkly's own Developer Advocate, Heidi Waterhouse.
Attendees can expect to hear learnings and best practices, participate in open forum discussions, as well as network with peers. Community members familiar with LaunchDarkly's Bay Area Meetup, Test in Production, will appreciate the similarities in topics covered and engaging format.
"We've seen firsthand how achieving the holy grail of continuous, incremental, and progressive delivery can transform a software team. We're gathering innovators within the community who are excited to share how they've evolved their development and release processes," said John Kodumal, CTO & Co-Founder of LaunchDarkly
Trajectory will be hosted at the Oakland Museum of CA in downtown Oakland. LaunchDarkly is proud to be an Oakland-based company, and excited to bring the community to its back yard. Trajectory will feature local catering and local support.
