It’s not what you do when people are watching. It’s what you do when they are not.
Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) October 22, 2013
Last week, Colorado company Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care was awarded the Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau’s (BBB) 2013 Torch Award for Marketplace Trust in the large business category.
A BBB spokesperson said of Swingle, “This 66-year-old company serves customers all throughout Colorado. It maintains high records for safety and customer satisfaction, and is dedicated to communities statewide.”
Swingle has been previously recognized for ethics in business by the University of Denver. In 2012, the company was listed by the Denver Post as a Top Denver Workplace and a Best Place to Work by Lawn & Landscape Magazine. It was also named Colorado’s Top Company in the Services category by ColoradoBiz Magazine. Swingle’s customer retention and customer satisfaction rates are consistently among the highest in the landscape industry.
According to the BBB, for the Torch Award, each organization went through a meticulous application process to illustrate its commitment to ethics and community leadership. The winners were each closely evaluated and chosen by an independent panel of judges. The judges analyzed each applicant’s ethical standards and practices, reputation, marketing, advertising, management practices and training programs to distinguish those that were most outstanding.
“We are so honored to recognize these important companies and people for having the courage and focus to integrate integrity in all they do. This year’s Torch Awards are just one way for these organizations to receive the praise they deserve,” said Su Hawk, president and CEO for the BBB of Denver/Boulder.
All winners were honored with the Torch Award at a luncheon ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center Hotel in Denver in front of an audience of approximately 400 fellow business and nonprofit colleagues.
Swingle is an Accredited Business by the BBB, carrying an A+ rating. The company’s commitment to customer satisfaction includes a Quality Assurance Feedback Program which awards $100 in lawn and tree services to one customer each month and a 100 Percent Guarantee that services will be performed satisfactorily. Customers are kept informed through expert articles and seasonal enjoyment tips distributed regularly on the company’s website and through monthly email newsletters and quarterly print mailings. Swingle is an active supporter of a broad range of Colorado charities.
“It’s not what you do when people are watching,” said Swingle President John Gibson when accepting the award. “It’s what you do when they are not.”
