Lead Actress of The True Don Quixote, Ann Mahoney-Kadar Attends Screening at the Meraux Foundation Night

NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Actress Ann Mahoney of AMC's The Walking Dead stars in The True Don Quixote, as Janelle, which will be the featured screening at The Meraux Foundation Night 7:30 pm Thursday, October 10th at the Chalmette Theater- 8700 W Judge Perez Dr, Chalmette, LA 70043.
The True Don Quixote (2018), directed by Chris Poche, is a contemporary take on the original story based on the classic novel by Miguel de Cervantes. The story follows a deluded man who believes he is a knight of old, who embarks on a quest to restore honor to the land. In addition to being shot in St. Bernard, the story is set in the suburban New Orleans community. The question and answer session will be held immediately following the screening.
The moderator for the evening will be author Michael Tisserand. Tisserand is a New Orleans-based author whose most recent book is Krazy: George Herriman, a Life in Black and White. Tisserand's work has appeared in the Oxford American, The Nation, The Progressive, and on WBEZ-FM Chicago. The former editor of New Orleans' Gambit Weekly, Michael's eleven-part Katrina series "Submerged," was published in alternative newsweeklies across the country.
Director Chris Poché and actress Ann Mahoney will be in attendance to field questions about the film.

About Ann Mahoney: Catching the acting bug at just four years old, she has since trail-blazed the way developing an impressive and extensive filmography. She is recognized for her role as Olivia in The Walking Dead has also played roles in films such as Bad Moms (2016), Sun Records (2017), 99 Homes (2014), Logan Lucky (2017), and The True Don Quixote (2018).
