Two Tracks – Not One – Ensures Sustained Leadership Development

Leadership training often is seen as an event rather than a behavior-changing strategy. Entelechy’s two-track leadership program ensures that Unleash Your Leadership Potential is different.

What makes ULP a game-changer, a strategic investment, is our two-track approach.

Launched just last year, Entelechy’s management/leadership development program, Unleash Your Leadership Potential, has hit the street with a vengeance. Already thousands of leaders – from supervisors through senior directors – have found the models, exercises, and activities as life-changing. “It’s changed the way I work with people,” says one graduate.

But Unleash Your Leadership Potential (ULP) is not simply an event. “We designed ULP to ensure lasting change,” explains Entelechy’s president, Terence Traut. “The content is good – award-winning good [ULP garnered CLO Magazine’s Merit Award for Content], and the models are simple and extremely effective. But what makes ULP a game-changer, a strategic investment, is our two-track approach.”

ULP consists of the core program for supervisors through director-level leaders. To create change – to make sure the skills learned in the core program are applied on the job – ULP includes an Executive Reinforcement track for mid- to senior-level leaders (the bosses of the core program attendees). “We equip the leaders with the skills and knowledge THEY need to model and reinforce the behaviors their staff are learning in the core program,” explains Donna Iacopucci, Entelechy’s Executive Vice President. “And then we ‘force’ the interaction between ULP attendees and their leaders,” she continues. “The outside-of-training activities require that ULP attendees and their leaders work together to develop the organization’s key resource – its leaders.”

“Instructionally, the two-track system ensures a significantly higher retention of knowledge and application of skills,” reports Sharon Fernandez, Senior Performance Consultant. “Organizationally, however, is where the true payoff is. ULP successfully addresses the question, ‘Will my leader be able to – and be willing to – support me with these new skills?’ With ULP’s two-track system, the answer is a resounding ‘YES!’”
