According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, in order to become a stockbroker you must pass the Series 7 examination. Candidates who wish to purse this cut-throat lifestyle usual hold a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as accounting, finance, business or economics. The exam is a six hour, two hundred and sixty question test of which two hundred and fifty of those questions are required to be correct for one to receive passing marks. Upon passing the exam, one is granted a Series 7/ General Security license.
