Willowbrook, IL (PRWEB) September 13, 2016
From contaminated water in Detroit to its presence in paint during building renovations, lead poses many health hazards to children and adults.
In order to ensure renovators are keeping their lead paint certifications valid, Occupational Training and Supply, Inc (OTS) announces a new online refresher course available nationwide.
When firms perform renovations, repairs or painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and preschools built before 1978, the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule requires that they are certified by the EPA or an EPA authorized state, use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved providers and follow lead-safe work practices. The OTS course renews certification for renovation, repair and painting contractors on the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule and is valid for three years.
The refresher class must be completed before the last renovator training certification expires. The EPA allows renovators to take an online refresher course without hands-on training once every other certification.
For more than 25 years, OTS has provided quality training through knowledgeable instructors, live demonstrations, state-of-the-art equipment, and hands-on training. OTS also travels nationally to provide custom training to fit any industry needs.
The refresher class is $99. For more information or to register for upcoming training, visit http://www.otssafety.com.
