t's important to support the small businesses within our community.

NEMEON is a purchasing cooperative in the roofing distribution industry, formed to provide pooled buying power and management support for independent roofing and siding distributors (IRSD.)

NEMEON is comprised of over 180 independent roofing and siding distributors with over 500 locations nation-wide. Their members create mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships with suppliers. These suppliers extend to the NEMEON members products, fair pricing, superior service and a first rate reputation.

Purchasing cooperatives consist of independent businesses working together in order to pool resources and raise purchasing power, providing profit enhancement and stability to its members. NEMEON is styled after cooperatives serving other wholesale distribution channels such as plumbing, electrical, and gypsum.

“Buying groups allow small and mid-sized businesses a way to level the purchasing playing field. There are approximately 7.3 million small to medium-sized businesses in the United States, and in order to compete in our new economy, these businesses need to utilize all available resources and technologies to gain every competitive advantage possible,” says vice president Victor Anthony.

When a small business joins a co-op with other businesses that purchase the same goods, every one of them gets in on the preferred vendor agreements negotiated on behalf of the entire group, no matter how little they purchase. Members share in the net profits of their cooperative in proportion to their participation in the co-op.

“It's important to support the small businesses within our community. The profits of local businesses typically remain local and invested in the community and these businesses typically support local charities, events, and organizations that are vital to the communities we live in," says Anthony.

NEMEON also offers LionGuard, their line of professional grade products for the roofing and siding industry. These products are available to private contractors exclusively through members of NEMEON cooperative. These products are competitively priced and include: cedar shakes and shingles, cements and coatings, coil nails, house wrap, ice and water guard, organic roofing felt, synthetic felt, tape sealants and adhesives and torches.
