Common Ground Relief Legal Clinic Announces Newly-Appointed Managing Attorney
New Orleans, LA (PRWEB) December 10, 2013 -- Common Ground Relief announces the appointment of Liz Lesher as the new Managing Attorney of the Common Ground Relief Legal Clinic, LLC. Ms. Lesher has volunteered with the Clinic since 2008. She was sworn in on October 24, 2013. Ms. Lesher will be the licensed Louisiana attorney on staff providing free advocacy and legal aid to the New Orleans community.
The Common Ground Relief Legal Clinic focuses primarily on Family Law cases such as custody and visitation rights, paternity, divorces, and guardianship. The Clinic also offers free legal services that encompass wills, contractor fraud, succession documentation, and heir ship.
New Orleans residents in need of free legal assistance can make an appointment to meet one-on-one with the Managing Attorney, who will then determine the best course of action for the case.
The Common Ground Relief Legal Clinic is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10am until 4pm. Those interested in receiving free legal aid should call (504) 717-7324 to make an appointment. Walk-in hours are held Saturdays from 12pm until 4pm.
The Clinic is located at 1800 Deslonde Street in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans.
The mission of Common Ground Relief, a 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans, is to provide short term relief for victims of hurricane disasters in the Gulf Coast region and long term support in rebuilding the communities affected in the New Orleans area. Common Ground Relief is rebuilding New Orleans and helping the community help itself through its construction projects, volunteer coordination, wetlands restoration projects, and free legal clinic.
