New Legal Appointments At Coles Miller Solicitors
Poole, Dorset (PRWEB UK) 11 February 2014 -- Expanding law firm Coles Miller has announced a number of key appointments to its team of expert solicitors.
Charlie Cormack has joined Dorset-based Coles Miller as a family law solicitor – she is the third member of the Cormack family now working at the firm.
Experienced solicitor Charlie Cormack is based at Coles Miller’s Poole office. She has expertise in all areas of family law, in particular:
• divorce and financial settlements (notably those which include pensions), separation agreements for married and cohabiting couples
• dissolution of civil partnerships
• children arrangements including applications for residence and contact orders, special guardianship applications, fostering and adoption.
“Coles Miller is a highly respected law firm and I am delighted to be working alongside such a high calibre team of family solicitors,” said Mrs Cormack, who has been a solicitor for eight years.
“We see families that are often working through some emotional times and our aim is to make the process as manageable as possible,” she added.
Coles Miller has also recruited solicitor Ian Campbell to its wills, tax and trusts department. He is based at the firm’s Bournemouth and Charminster offices.
Ian assists with all aspects of private client work including wills, advice on trusts and Inheritance Tax planning, administration of estates, powers of attorney and applications to the Court of Protection.
He can also help with regard to local authority funding for long term care. Ian is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly. He has also gained the STEP certificate in Advanced Will Preparation.
“There are so many issues to consider with regard to long term care and personal affairs in general,” he said.
“Inheritance Tax planning, long term care, wills, trusts and powers of attorney are all closely interlinked and it is important to consider them holistically,” he added.
Coles Miller solicitor Agnieszka Bania – who joined the firm in 2010 – has moved from the personal injury department to the commercial litigation team.
Poole-based Agnieszka’s commercial litigation caseload includes financial mis-selling (in particular interest rate swap claims), landlord and tenant disputes and general litigation. She also assists the firm’s Polish clients.
“I really enjoy working in the commercial department – there’s a real variety of work here. Every day is different,” she said.
This latest round of appointments follows the announcement last month that commercial property solicitor Kerry Houston-Kypta had joined the firm.
Coles Miller LLP has five offices in Bournemouth, Poole, Broadstone, Charminster and Wimborne.
The firm carries out a full range of legal services including company commercial, conveyancing, wills, tax and trusts, residential leasehold property, family law, employment law, planning, equine law and debt recovery.
