This certification benefits litigation teams that engage LexisNexis to host their data or eDiscovery software applications by assuring them of the company’s compliance with global standards for information security management systems.

The ISO 27001:2013 certification specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving a documented data security management system within an organization. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the needs of the organization. The new 2013 standard puts more emphasis on measuring the performance of an organization’s information security management systems than the prior 2005 standard.
