LEID Products Attending KPLA Conference, Displaying iLibrary System used to Expand Library Reach and Hours
Auburn Hills, MI (PRWEB) March 17, 2015 -- LEID Products, LLC., the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced that it is attending the Kentucky Public Library Associated (KPLA) Conference in Lexington, KY this week. The company, as in previous years, is a sponsor of the KPLA Conference, and is displaying its iLibrary and Access.it systems that enable libraries to offer extended self-service hours or offer a complete standalone service branch to bring library service closer to outlying communities.
LEID’s system encompasses the iLibrary Kiosk and Access.it electronic lockers with keypad to store library holds for patron pick-up. Patrons browse materials online or directly through the iLibrary System Kiosk; orders are placed through the kiosk or remotely via the internet using their library card number. Patrons can choose to receive an email or phone call with an access code when their materials are available for pick-up. Upon notification the requested hold is ready for pick-up; patrons can retrieve holds from the electronic lockers by scanning their library card and/or entering an access code provided by the library. The locker containing their requested materials will open automatically. LEID’s software tracks all electronic locker transactions providing the library administrator with real-time activity and the ability to generate reports on demand.
“We continue to be impressed with KPLA and this conference," said Sam Hoff, president, LEID Products. “The self-service LEID solution has been implemented in several locations across Kentucky and the interest we are seeing at this year at the show indicates that number will increase.”
LEID Products iLibrary System is a proven cost-effective, secure, rugged, and tamper proof self-service library access system used to make materials more accessible to all patrons. The system allows libraries to deliver services to rural areas and growing communities where a brick and mortar library is not feasible. In addition, many urban libraries are using the system for patrons to access reserved materials after hours. LEID’s iLibrary kiosk and secure electronic lockers can be located outside under cover, making the self-service library available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
