Largest Network of Legal Bloggers Now Included in Fastcase Legal Research

LexBlog
"Every blog on our network is a powerful platform to share expertise – but all of them together, on a popular service like Fastcase, creates an even more powerful channel for law firms." Kevin O'Keefe

Today Fastcase launched a new library of expert legal commentary, including curated posts from LexBlog’s network of expert bloggers, providing first-response legal analysis and insights across state, national and international legal matters.

The alliance combines the power of more than 15,000 expert legal bloggers in the LexBlog network, who produce almost as many blog posts and legal articles as the the New York Times, with Fastcase’s subscriber base, more than 800,000 of the savviest consumers of legal news and information. The service will be a free addition for all Fastcase subscribers.

Now users of Fastcase can search the LexBlog library of curated analytical materials, or when they are searching in other libraries, Fastcase will suggest related posts. The partnership gives additional exposure to expert bloggers, and provides a new, current source of expert commentary about the law, in many cases reporting legal news and commentary faster than treatises and newspapers.

“We’re pushing hard to add the best secondary sources for our members,” said Fastcase CEO Ed Walters. “The LexBlog network is a platform for some of the nation’s leading experts in law to report and synthesize legal news and developments. And the collection of every day’s LexBlog posts reads like the most compelling legal newspaper in America. Having this expertise integrated into Fastcase for free is a huge win for our subscribers,” he added. “Plus, we get to work with Kevin O’Keefe and one of legal tech’s most admired teams at LexBlog.”

“In addition to providing new exposure to the great writers on LexBlog, we hope that our partnership with Fastcase creates incentives for bloggers to write more and better, more substantive posts about the law,” said LexBlog CEO Kevin O’Keefe. “Every blog on our network is a powerful platform to share expertise – but all of them together, on a popular service like Fastcase, creates an even more powerful channel for law firms.”

Analytical posts from LexBlog are available immediately, and for free, in Fastcase, searchable as a standalone library, and as suggested resources on other searches. Those without a Fastcase subscription can try the new integration by signing up for a free trial at http://www.fastcase.com.
