As part of its continued recognition and celebration of Women’s History Month, Advantage Payroll Services has committed to organizing a team for Habitat for Humanity in Nassau County’s National Women’s Build Week. Advantage team members—including a large percentage of its female staff members—will be working with the housing non-profit to help construct homes in communities in need on Long Island on May 2nd and May 6th.

“We are proud to encourage and empower the women who work here at Advantage,” said Advantage President Rob Basso. “These women have proven their strength in the conference room and they will continue to inspire working at the Habitat sites with their strong sense of leadership and community.”

Advantage Payroll Services Long Island has a long history of working with charitable organizations. In the past the company has sponsored coat drives, food drives, toy drives, and volunteer hours for its employees during workdays at a soup kitchen. Their partnership with Habitat for Humanity is just the latest of their efforts to participate in offering aid to those struggling in the Long Island neighborhoods where they do business.

Habitat for Humanity is an international organization with multiple chapters across the United States in the world. The organization seeks to address affordable housing needs by providing reasonably-priced homes for hard working low-income families. Habitat homes are built entirely through donations from individuals, schools, foundations and corporations, and primarily with volunteer labor. Habitat provides an interest-free mortgage, with no down payment required.

Advantage Payroll Services Long Island also invites all local women who are interested in volunteering at the Lowe’s-sponsored build to visit their build page.
