Liberty IT Solutions Awarded $4.6M Home Telehealth Reporting Enhancements (HTRE) Phase 3 Task Order
Liberty IT Solutions, LLC is awarded VA Home Telehealth Reporting Enhancements (HTRE) Phase 3 project, a 20-month task order potentially amounting to $4.6 million, inclusive of all options.
HERNDON, Va., Aug. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Liberty IT Solutions, LLC is excited to begin work on the Home Telehealth Reporting Enhancements (HTRE) Phase 3 project. This 20-month task order (an eight-month base period with a one-year option) potentially amounts to $4.6 million, inclusive of all options. With a high-performance team in place, Liberty will provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with a comprehensive solution that meets the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Liberty believes that Home Telehealth (HT) is crucial to patient centered care in rural and highly urban environments. Effective home care can dramatically increase the quality of life for each individual Veteran while simultaneously saving the Veteran's Health Administration (VHA) the cost of additional and unnecessary hospitalizations.
Liberty will support the HTRE Phase 3 program through optimization of current applications to accommodate the 100 percent growth in supported HT expected to occur in 2018. Team Liberty will additionally put efforts towards VistA integration, the migration of HT data to a cloud-based hosting environment, and adjustments to accommodate changes in federal mandates.
"Many Veterans live with chronic diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease. Successfully management of this type of disease requires frequent monitoring for better health, lower hospitalization, medication regulation, and ultimately lower costs for all involved," said Bill Greene, CEO. He continued, "VA uses informatics, disease management and remote access technologies with devices in Veterans' homes or local community centers to support this improved standard of care. It's really a powerful model to bring care to the Veteran."
With previous successes in similar areas, Liberty is excited to take on the HTRE Phase 3 task order with support from Oxley Enterprises Inc.; Newsun Inc. dba Internal Computer Services; and Perspecta dba Enterprise Services LLC (formerly DXC). This task order will continue the successful partnership between Liberty and VA previously built on this program and will allow the company to further expand its contribution to modernizing VA healthcare systems, providing Veterans timely and convenient access to medical care through Home Telehealth.
