Liberty University to Host Gary Sinise, Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin, Veterans, for CPAC Live Event
Academy Award-nominated actor/director Gary Sinise will join with John Heubusch, the Executive Director of the Reagan Foundation and Library, to discuss the importance of supporting the people who defend our freedoms. Sinise is the Founder of the Gary Sinise Foundation, which creates and supports unique programs designed to strengthen and build the communities of defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need.
LYNCHBURG, Va., Feb. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Liberty University is excited to announce it will serve as a satellite location for the annual Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday, March 1.
The university will broadcast a livestream (in conjunction with its regular Convocation time, starting at 10:30 a.m. EST) to the main conference stage in Washington, D.C. Liberty will then welcome additional guests to the stage throughout the afternoon to present on a wide range of mostly nonpartisan topics (see agenda below).
All sessions will take place in the Vines Center and are free and open to the public.

The afternoon sessions will conclude with a two hour block of programming dedicated to honoring American veterans and the U.S. military.

The university will have 2,500 copies of Sinise's new memoir, Grateful American: A Journey from Self to Service, available for purchase. The books will be heavily discounted for Veterans and Active Military.
Other guest speakers will include Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin, and WWII veteran Edgar Harrell, one of the few remaining survivors of the USS Indianapolis.
