Xulon Press presents an exciting Christian fictional fantasy about a young man's inheritance of a mountain that may not be all that it seems.
PALO, Iowa, May 24, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Tim Snodgrass gives readers exciting fiction with a clever Christian-themed twist in The O'Connell Fairies ($23.99, paperback, 9781662876110; $9.99, e-book, 9781662876127).
Snodgrass's fictional fantasy follows the quiet and diminutive, Elian O'Connell, as he inherits the mountain he was been born and raised on. What appears to be a typical inheritance quickly changes course as a life-threatening secret is revealed. Elian's parents failed to mention a small village of winged fairies struggling for existence, hidden from the world in the caverns of a long-lost gold mine. Elian's life takes a turn for the worse as he repeatedly encounters a devious winged fairy that is determined to do whatever it takes to keep the secret of the fairy village hidden. How far will the fairy go to ensure the secret stays uncovered?
Snodgrass aims to demonstrate how Elian is forced to consider the implications of God having created winged beings. The story explores how Jesus wants His followers to help their neighbors; even if helping could be detrimental to one's future, fulfilling dreams and even worse, be life ending.
When asked what inspired the author to write this book, Snodgrass said, "The differences between people who are all viewed by God as his cherished and special creations."
Tim Snodgrass is a career electronics engineer. From age 12, he has designed all types of radios. This passion led him to design radios for the U.S. military as well as other nations, and that led to an interest in world history, particularly ancient history. Extensive international travel, visiting ancient sites, working on an archeological dig and living abroad led Snodgrass to take up writing Christian novels to express how God moves people in different ways in the world's many cultures. Some of his novels creatively use the lives of realistic characters to show the limitations of what evolution can do and how modern creation research affirms a Christian world view. Snodgrass wrote a historical trilogy placed in WWII, and multiple medieval and contemporary novels. Several of these stories employ unexpected uses of radios in the storyline to build moral strength and character into teenagers facing life's many difficulties. In addition to designing radios, Snodgrass also designs, builds and flies model airplanes, and communicates around the world in the shortwave band using Morse Code.
