Created to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Kevin J. Lederer, the Life Foundation aims to help those with infertility through educational resources and financial support

Helping patients become parents is exactly what Dr. Lederer would wish for his legacy. We are honored to commemorate him as an individual and physician who made a tangible and lasting impact on the infertility community.

For one in eight couples experiencing infertility, the diagnosis can be emotionally, physically and financially overwhelming. The newly-formed Kevin J. Lederer Life Foundation, a Chicago-based non-profit serving Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana, aims to change that by offering both educational events and financial assistance through their Life Grants program. The main fundraising event will be annual 5k “Run for Life” in September 2015.

A well-respected and beloved physician, Dr. Kevin J. Lederer left an indelible impression on the countless lives that he touched. He dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence in women’s health and reproductive medicine, and worked tenaciously to help thousands achieve the dream of parenthood. In his career, he served as President and Managing Partner of Fertility Centers of Illinois, where he offered compassionate, individualized care and focused on providing the most cost effective treatments available.

The Life Foundation was created to honor his legacy and further his mission to help patients overcome the hurdles of infertility. The Life Grants program, which will open applications in April, is offered to couples residing in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana who are pursuing treatment in Illinois and are seeking to defray the costs of adoption or fertility treatment. Grants are to be awarded annually with grant amounts dependent upon organizational fundraising.

To foster support in the infertility community and raise funds for Life Grants, the Life Foundation will host the inaugural “Run for Life” 5k race on September 20, 2015. Race registration opens on April 1, 2015.

“Helping patients become parents is exactly what Dr. Lederer would wish for his legacy,” states Dr. Eve Feinberg, President and Director of the Life Foundation and Physician Partner at Fertility Centers of Illinois. “We are honored to commemorate him as an individual and physician who made a tangible and lasting impact on the infertility community.”
