To meet the growing demand for B2C and B2B eCommerce technology expertise, Lightwell today announced the appointment of Brian Kayla as Senior Director of eCommerce and Omnichannel Commerce Solutions. Kayla brings with him over fifteen years of experience assisting mid-sized and enterprise retail and manufacturing companies with the development, implementation, and support of their B2B and B2C eCommerce technologies.
As a seasoned eCommerce leader, Kayla has led global technical teams―from presales and project design though implementation, testing, and health checks―delivering on all aspects of these successful projects. Kayla has assisted numerous companies in meeting rapidly changing customer, business, and industry requirements by developing holistic eCommerce strategies and leveraging emerging technologies.
Throughout his career, Kayla has been called upon to facilitate improved alignment between companies’ B2B and B2C operations, creating roadmaps for these organizations to expand their eCommerce businesses and become more customer-focused.
“The wall between B2C and B2B commerce is coming down and eCommerce technology is wielding the sledgehammer,” explains Kayla.
“Steeped in tradition, many B2B companies used to believe that they had a captive customer base without a lot of other options, but the Internet has changed all that,” adds Kayla. “I enjoy helping successful companies become even more successful by taking a page out of the B2C playbook: using technology to improve their customer experience and gain a competitive edge.”
The new eCommerce and Omnichannel Commerce solutions practice will expand Lightwell’s existing services and solutions offerings, which include order management, B2B integration, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), managed file transfer, and supply chain management.
