CHICAGO, Feb. 27, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Legistek Corporation is delighted to announce that their online evidence management platform, Limine 2.0, is now available for general use by law firms and other legal practices in the United States, with bundled infrastructure options offered in partnership with Aquipt through its MatterPoint private cloud service.
Over three years in development, Limine 2.0 offers online evidence review and organization, collaborative case preparation, and courtroom presentation in a single unified product. The platform gives lawyers and support professionals an online workspace that can support litigation matters both large and small from the conclusion of document productions all the way through – and including – trial.
"Limine allows discovery documents, deposition transcripts – including synchronized video – and any other case documents to be viewed, organized, annotated, and eventually labeled for and presented at trial, all in a user-friendly online environment," said Limine creator and former litigation attorney, Peter Moore. "Transcript videos can be streamed directly from the web, allowing lawyers to preview and designate testimony for dispositive motions or playback to the jury. Powerful user access settings give case administrators an extraordinary amount of granularity to control which users can access various documents and perform advanced actions."
In partnership with Legistek, Aquipt will offer custom infrastructure options specially priced and tailored to Limine 2.0 through its MatterPoint private cloud service. MatterPoint delivers a cloud infrastructure platform purpose-built to address the complex demands of eDiscovery Application hosting, matter ingestion, and strict data security standards. Supported 24/7 by Aquipt technicians and engineers, MatterPoint will give these clients specific and exact control over their environments. "Legistek has proven to be a true innovator in the legal technology arena with its standalone Limine application" said Bob Rivas, Executive Director at Aquipt. "We're thrilled that they've chosen us as a partner on the next generation of their product. MatterPoint was custom built to meet the ever-changing demands of the legal sector and this is another terrific opportunity to expose a new user-base to our platform."
Having been used in select live litigation matters throughout 2018 and this year, and after several months of subsequent development and testing in partnership with its free pilot program participants, Limine 2.0 is now ready for wider deployment to U.S. customers, Moore said. Initially, the product will be offered commercially to law firms and other legal practices as a self-hosted client-server solution, with Aquipt MatterPoint serving as the most efficient and cost-effective on-ramp to the platform. The company also plans to deploy a SaaS product targeted to solo and small practices by year's end, while a standalone desktop application will be made available this Spring for customers needing only courtroom presentation and other offline features.
Limine 2.0 will be presented at booth 401 at the ABA TECHSHOW in Chicago, Illinois, February 27 through March 1. To arrange a private demo or discuss licensing terms, interested customers can also contact Legistek's sales and customer outreach coordinator, Hudson Hollister, at hhollister (at) legistek (dot) com.
