Lipman Brothers Expands Leadership; Prepares for Growth in Sales of Wine, Spirits & Beer
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) March 07, 2015 -- Nashville-based Lipman Brothers, LLC, a 75-year-old spirits, wine and beer distribution company, today announced several personnel promotions within its Executive Management Team.
Robert S. Lipman, President/CEO of Lipman Brothers and R.S. Lipman Company, said the expansion of senior leadership represents an ongoing commitment to provide exceptional service to trade channels, which include retail, grocery, convenience and bars/restaurants. Lipman Brothers, which holds Tennessee Permit No. 1 for the distribution of beverage alcohol, employs more than 250 persons throughout the state.
Recent Executive Team Promotions:
Stefan Banks was appointed as Lipman Brothers’ General Manager, Secretary/Treasurer. He previously served as Assistant to the President. Prior to joining Lipman, Banks was in management at MAPCO Express. From 2003-2008, Banks served in the U.S. Army as part of the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). A graduate of Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Banks also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University.
Greg Naiser, a 30-year veteran in the beverage alcohol industry, was promoted to Vice President of Sales for Lipman Brothers. He will oversee Lipman’s sales force in all verticals including spirits, wines, beer, N/A beverages and cigars. Prior to joining Lipman’s management team in 1997, Naiser spent 13 years in supplier positions with Brown-Forman, Glenmore Distilleries and United Distillers. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Centre College in Danville, KY.
Lowell Goldman was promoted to Vice President of Operations for Lipman Brothers. Prior to joining Lipman, Goldman was in management at MAPCO Express. He served in the U.S. Army from 2000-2008, achieving the rank of Captain with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). Goldman received a Master of Business Administration Degree from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy where he earned a B.S. in Foreign Languages.
Jason McMurray was named Managing Director of R.S Lipman Company, a Nashville-based international supplier of wines, spirits, beers, and mixers. McMurray oversees all aspects of sales and operations for the company’s diverse portfolio of brands. With more than 20 years experience in the wholesale wine and spirits industry, and 8 years of previous restaurant experience, McMurray has served in multiple management roles since joining Lipman in 2001. McMurray earned a BA in English from the University of Iowa.
Scott Gstell was named National Sales Director of R.S. Lipman Company. Gstell’s previous held positions with Brown Forman, Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits, Treasury Wine Estates, and E & J Gallo Winery. Gstell earned a Marketing Degree from Clemson University.
Rounding out the executive management team are: Charles Bader, Director of Sales – Spirits Division; Pat Kerrigan, Director of Sales – Wine Division; Clark Calvert, Director of Sales – Beer and N/A Beverages Division; Charlie Jackson, Director of On-Premise Sales; and Blake Wylie, Director of Information Technologies.
