LIVALL Launches Indiegogo Campaign Today: World’s Smartest, Most Affordable, Lightweight Carbon Fiber Crossover Bikes
San Francisco, Ca (PRWEB) November 30, 2015 -- LIVALL, the company spreading the joy of smart riding, today announced that its LIVALL Oxygen Series of carbon fiber smart bikes are available for the first time in the U.S. in a new Indiegogo campaign that went live today. Starting as low as $799, about half the price of comparable quality bikes, LIVALL’s T800 aero-grade carbon fiber bicycles come with smart, high-end components such as a BPA five-pass joint, Shimano derailleur system, nano cadence sensor, and a handlebar phone holder with charger. LIVALL plans to make its new bikes and smart-riding gear system more broadly available in retail channels during 2016.
Portugal’s Isabel Caetano, who has won 19 cyclo-cross racing championships, designed LIVALL’s new Oxygen Series of bikes for performance, comfort, safety, and a smart biking experience. The new crossover, smart bikes deliver fast, safe urban biking on paved roads in addition to stable, cross-country cycling performance without any roads at all. LIVALL’s manufacturing partner for the new bikes is ZGL, the supplier for China’s national cycling team and the country’s largest producer of carbon fiber bike components.
LIVALL Oxygen Series Smart Bikes will come in three sizes (S, M, L) and are delivered nearly fully assembled with minimal adjustments required. The two models available on Indiegogo include:
The LIVALL O2 Mustang™ at $899 features a full T800 aero-grade carbon frame set, fork, seat post, and handlebars; hydraulic disc brakes for excellent control and braking force; a Shimano-9s derailleur system; nano cadence crankset sensor; handlebar mounted phone holder with charger; and weighs 10.5kg.
The LIVALL O2 Alps™ at $799 features a full T800 aero-grade carbon frame set and fork; aluminum alloy seat post and handlebars; mechanical disc brakes; a Shimano-8s derailleur system; nano cadence crankset sensor; handlebar mounted phone holder with charger; and weighs 11kg.
“Our new bikes were developed with input from cycling enthusiasts to deliver an excellent riding experience,” says Brian Zheng, LIVALL founder and CEO. “We’ve engineered them for rides that are smooth, balanced, and comfortable. Made of high-quality carbon fiber and high-end components, they’re very lightweight but sturdy, and built to be durable and absorb shocks.”
LIVALL bikes include smart, high-end parts including:
- Made from T800 aero-grade carbon fiber that weighs up to 70 percent less than conventional steel frames with more shock absorption and resistance performance;
- The BSA five-pass joint and tapered head tube enhances the bike’s bearing capacity for smooth riding on bumpy roads;
- 700c tire size ensures a smooth, more efficient ride, while the 35c tire width guarantees great performance on all road types;
- A folding pedal bracket for easy parking anywhere;
- Shimano 8s (Alps) and 9s (Mustang) derailleur systems and a covered chain wheel for smooth speed shifting;
- Removable front and rear mudguards;
- A phone holder and charger mounted to the handlebars; and
- A patented nano cadence sensor that is set in the bike’s crankset hole and works with the LIVALL Riding App to track performance and health stats. App can also import data from other fitness tracker devices such as a pedometer or smart watch.
“Smart bikes are emerging as a new consumer category this year, and spreading into the U.S. for the first time,” says Ken Liu, LIVALL founder and CTO. “We’ve designed our new Oxygen Series bikes and LIVALL smart-riding gear so individual components and software can be easily upgraded, similar to what customers are already used to with other smart devices they own.”
The new Oxygen Series bikes work well with LIVALL’s smart-riding Bling Helmets (BH-60 and BH-100) and Bling Jet™ remote control. The smart, safe helmets were designed for urban riders and off-road riders respectively and are lightweight and integrate lighting, music and communications. The BH-60 helmets and smart gear are currently available for purchase in the U.S. and other global regions at steep discounts off M.S.R.P. through a Kickstarter campaign while supplies last through December 15, 2015.
