New York, NY (PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- With the 2015 International CES® just two months away, Living in Digital Times will present a sneak peek of the hottest technology products and trends today across lifestyle verticals at CES Unveiled New York at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. The annual showcase and networking event brings together dozens of exhibitors and more than 400 media and industry attendees to preview the newest technologies making their debut at 2015 CES in January.
Here are a few of the products that put the spotlight on improved sensors, algorithms, low-energy Bluetooth and the cloud enabling a new generation of cutting-edge devices:
Life360 lets users stay in touch with and keep track of family members anywhere and anytime. It combines a family locator, messaging tool and communication app all in one. The location sharing and in-app messaging technology preemptively provides alerts to Circle members (family and closest friends) when users arrive at or leave certain locations. Users can simply open the app and instantly see everyone in their private Circle located on the map. Users can also message the whole group at once or on a one-to-one basis.
Edwin the Duck is the rubber ducky for a new generation of digital kids. It’s an app-enhanced smart toy designed to strengthen the connection between family members through common goals, daily routines and interactive learning. With technologies that allow him to grow with a child, Edwin comes to life through stories and songs. He also provides convenient features such as a bath temperature sensor, nightlight, waterproof Bluetooth wireless speaker and more.
TellSpec is the world’s first food scanner that can tell users about the composition of their food. The device includes a scanner, proprietary algorithms and mobile app that work together to report what’s in the user’s food directly to their smartphone. TellSpec BETA currently identifies calories, macronutrients (fats, protein and carbohydrates) and limited ingredients, that are present at reasonable concentrations in food.
Doctor On Demand is a healthcare service that provides video visits with board-certified physicians via smartphones, tablets and computers. Patients simply download the Doctor On Demand app and provide a list of their symptoms, and are instantly connected to a doctor licensed in their state for a video visit. Doctor On Demand physicians use video visits to diagnose, treat and write prescriptions for patients when clinically appropriate.
Jaybird Reign is the newest activity tracker from Jaybird. The next-generation fitness monitor, the Jaybird Reign provides automated activity detection to help users understand when they’re active and what types of activity they’re doing. Reign uses automatic sleep monitoring, letting users know how much sleep is needed, and through Go-Zone Heart Rate Variability (HRV) monitoring it knows when the body wants to be active. Reign features a five-plus day battery life, waterproof warranty and a comfort-flex stain-proof soft silicone band that shapes to the wrist.
