Cheryl Bowker of Bowker Insurance Group Honored with Dick McKenna Good Hands Legacy Award

Bowker, who has run three successful agencies for over 35 years, has always operated as a servant-leader, who views her purpose as helping and enriching the lives of others. Whether a customer, business partner, employee, or local family or organization in need, Bowker works tirelessly to bring her bring her unique blend of compassion, service and leadership to everyone she meets, ensuring they are always in good hands. The agency’s ongoing community enrichment program is a splendid example of her commitment to the people of her community, through which Bowker’s team chooses a new worthwhile local organization, family or individual every two months to assist with campaigns of fundraising and other support.
The current initiative focuses on T.A.F.F.Y., a local grassroots organization which was founded in 2003 with a mission to improve the quality of life for Michigan families who are undergoing unusually difficult times. By providing compassionate financial assistance for a wide variety of needs, T.A.F.F.Y. has raised over $75,000 to help people with medical bills, food, living expenses, classroom supplies and more.
