Following the adventures of Twirly the helicopter and Sam, Twirly’s pilot, author L.J. Walsh’s new kids’ bookThe Rolling Snowball” (published by Trafford Publishing) features adventurous twists and natural phenomena to conjure readers’ imaginations.

In the book, Twirly and Sam go on a mission to take four skiers to the top of a mountain, where they can experience the thrill of alighting from a helicopter and skiing on the deep snow mountainside below.

But when the helicopter triggers an avalanche, Twirly and Sam must find a way to keep the skiers safe and rescue them from the treacherous natural event.

“My son flew helicopters throughout the Rocky Mountains and related many interesting and exciting stories,” Walsh says. “I was intrigued from that moment and set about compiling stories involving an interesting character in the form of a helicopter. Hence, Twirly was created.”

Walsh hopes “The Rolling Snowball” will inspire an adventurous spirit in its readers and foster childrens’ interest in winter sports enjoyment and safety.
