Legal Netlink Alliance Europe recently held its Summer General Meeting over two days at the Rosa Grand Hotel in Milan, Italy. The event marked the third meeting for the organization this year after very successful events in Gibraltar and Chicago.
On Friday evening, members and their guests attended a welcome reception and dinner at Residenza Vignale, a beautiful event center with a rich architectural history and exquisite food.
The general session on Saturday included three very interesting and informative presentations. Stefano Azzali, Secretary General of the Milan Chamber of Arbitration, provided a presentation titled “Institutional Arbitration: Feature and Advantages – The Experience of the Milan Chamber of Arbitration.” The keynote lunch address was given by journalist Adriana Cerretelli, and was titled “The Italian Presidency of the EU seeking the right balance between Italian and EU crisis and ambitions.” The meeting closed with Italian film director and screenwriter, Graziano Diana, providing a captivating session called “The Great Beauty of Italian Imaginary.”
In addition, three in-house counsel attorneys from Italian companies participated in a panel discussion about the shifting role of in-house lawyers. John Wright and Marco Padovan also collaborated on a presentation regarding the LNA Construction Law Practice Group.
The meeting concluded on Saturday evening with a gala dinner at Palazzo Visconti. Jay Frank, President of LNA-US, said the Milan meeting was a great destination filled with great learning: “This meeting provided an excellent combination of relevant information about how attorneys practice law in Italy and the surrounding areas, along with incredibly interesting discussions about the history and culture in the region.”
LNA’s next major event is the Winter General Meeting being held in Dallas, TX on October 16-17.
