“Merchandise has been high on the label’s to do list for awhile now, but we had to figure out exactly what the merchandise would be and when the best time would be to release it,” explains Rebel Music Collective partner, Joe Banania.

Making their first appearance off the mic and onto merchandise, Lo Village has collaborated with local Maryland artist and creator of SOURcream, Jarrod Frank (@iwriteromancenovels), to design their first piece.

“Merchandise has been high on the label’s to do list for awhile now, but we had to figure out exactly what the merchandise would be and when the best time would be to release it,” explains Rebel Music Collective partner, Joe Banania. “The LV team has known Jarrod since we were kids, and after brainstorming a few ideas, I knew our first round of merchandise was in the right hands.”

The long sleeve tee salutes one of the group’s biggest influences, Wu-Tang Clan, reading ‘for the children’ on the front chest area. When asked about the slogan’s significance, emcee Charles Tyler said, “for the children is exactly what it says it is: for the children. Lo Village wants to inspire younger generations and give knowledge where we can.”

The shirt’s back side depicts hand drawn sketches of Lo Village members Kane, Charles, and Ama, tagged with Frank’s iconic, red SOURcream logo.

Shirts were first sold at the trio’s DMV showcase last month at Baltimore Soundstage, but are currently for sale along with Lo Village stickers on the newly redesigned Rebel Music Collective website. Click here to shop.

About SOURcream:
Jarrod Frank started SOURcream in February of 2017 with the debut of his hand embroidered SOURcream crew neck sweatshirt. His designs are simple yet eccentric, and completely original. Year to date, he has released 13 pieces, each more unique than the last. When asked what SOURcream was, Frank simply said, “some things are better unexplained. Take a hot dog for example. You don’t ask any questions, you just eat it.” Shop the full SOURcream collection on their Instagram page, @iwriteromancenovels.
