FinTech Veteran Joins Board as Private Company Investment Marketplace Eyes Expansion

Brad Kime

"Brad's leadership experience at On Deck will be invaluable for us as we grow Localstake into a broad marketplace for local growing businesses to access capital"

Localstake announced today that Brad Kime, the former Chairman and President of On Deck Capital, has joined its Board. Localstake is a web-based marketplace where businesses can efficiently raise capital from both accredited and non-accredited investors.

Most recently, Mr. Kime served as Chairman of On Deck Capital, a venture-backed online small business lender based in New York. Since its founding in 2007, On-Deck has lent over $700 million in capital to main street businesses and has fundamentally changed how small businesses access lending capital.

"We are extremely excited to have Brad join our Board," said Ryan Flynn, a co-founder of Localstake. "His leadership experience at On Deck will be invaluable for us as we grow Localstake into a national marketplace for local growing businesses to access capital from individuals looking for curated investment opportunities."

Prior to his role as Chairman, Mr. Kime served in a number of leadership positions at On Deck, helping grow its customer acquisition strategy and secure over $100 million in debt and equity growth capital, while building On Deck into one of the leaders in the Financial Services Technology segment. Under his leadership, On Deck experienced nearly 1,000% growth in revenues and was named to the Inc. 500 List of fastest growing companies as a result.

"I am excited to be working with Localstake and their mission to assist small business in the capital access process. The team has created a foundation with their initial efforts to be poised to take advantage of this market opportunity in the future," said Brad Kime.

In addition to his board role at Localstake, Mr. Kime currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at LendKey and holds degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
