Woman tries to save her village in Louise P.N. Kibuuka’s new book
London (PRWEB) January 10, 2014 -- In “Glowing Embers!: A Tale of Two Worlds” (published by AuthorHouse), the new book by Louise P.N. Kibuuka, a woman makes a treacherous journey to save her village from the ravages of war.
A war torn country is in jeopardy, with its shredded infrastructure, eroded moral values and loss of hope. The only chance this country has lies in the hands of Nakayima, a young woman who must go abroad and fight for the family and village she left behind. Nakayima vows to carry the burden and heal the scars of war.
Nakayima has no idea what lies ahead of her and what stands in her way on her mission to save her family and village. It is a treacherous adventure only kept afloat by a tale of traditional proverbs that not only change the lives of the community left behind but also the attitudes of those she meets abroad.
An excerpt from “Glowing Embers!”:
“That night, Nakayima had a sleepless night. She had strange dreams about immigration officers pounding their house, searching for illegal immigrants. She dreamt swimming in a muddy river and drowning. During the dream she cried to her friend to rescue her but she seemed to be ignoring her as if she had never seen her before. She woke up with a sad, when Namuli knocked at her door.”
