In addition, Natchitoches Pecans will launch a new metallic red gift tin to complement their traditional gold and black gift tin. The new color provides more flexibility for purchasers, offering the Natchitoches Pecans' iconic cabin scene design along with two new tin options. Buyers will have the packaging option of a plain tin, the cabin scene, or the addition of a fleur-de-lis. Swanson hopes the new pecans gift tin options will speak to the variety holiday gift givers seek, and expand beyond their staple packaging.
The Natchitoches Pecans gift store will also carry a new book, Health Benefits of Pecans. Written by three scientists from the University of Georgia, the book provides an in-depth look at recent research into the health benefits of pecans. Incorporating pecan recipes alongside the health research, the book is a comprehensive guide to understanding the correlation between frequent nut consumption and a range of benefits including a lowered risk of cardiovascular disease.
