Louisville, KY (PRWEB) March 16, 2016
“I am deeply honored to have been voted as a top lawyer in Louisville Magazine, a revered publication covering all things Louisville,” said Su Kang, an attorney at Seiller Waterman LLC. “I would also like to congratulate my colleagues who were named as top lawyers in the magazine.”
Kang joined Seiller Waterman LLC in 2008 in its family law group following a successful private practice, and now manages the entire family law practice group. She received her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law. Prior to law school, Kang obtained a degree in Journalism from Indiana University. She is also a graduate of the Louisville Bar Association’s Leadership Academy, whose goal is to build a core of practicing attorneys in the greater Louisville area that will lead the legal community ethically, professionally and charitably, with high regard for service to the city and region.
“I attended the prestigious Leadership Academy to be a more proactive attorney and member of the Louisville community, and to expand on my leadership skills,” said Kang. “At the academy, I was able to examine important job-related issues such as ethics, justice and morality.”
This training serves Kang well in her everyday practice at Seiller Waterman LLC, which includes divorce, child support, custody of children, spousal maintenance, division of property and debt as well as domestic violence issues. In addition to her thriving practice at Seiller Waterman LLC, Kang also represents the children who appear before the family court on child protective issues, termination of parental rights and juvenile delinquency petitions. “My role as ‘Guardian ad Litem’ is to provide legal representation, express clients’ wishes to the court and safeguard the interests and legal rights of these children,” said Kang.
Kang also volunteers her time with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the National Committee for Prevention of Child Abuse and Habitat for Humanity. “I truly believe that we all have a responsibility to help one another in life,” said Kang. “Volunteering is just my way of giving back to my fellow man.”
