LSA 2019 Annual Conference Highlights Evolving SMB Local Technology Market Trends with New Research Indicating Importance of Tech-Driven Partnerships
TROY, Mich. (PRWEB) March 06, 2019 -- At the LSA 2019 Annual Conference, held last week in Dana Point, Calif., the Local Search Association (LSA) shared key data points from their most recent SMB survey presenting strong growth potential for the LSA’s local-focused members. In the survey of more than 1000 SMBs, 65 percent of SMBs said they prefer to work with one provider delivering multiple solutions – double the 26 percent that said they prefer to work with companies that offer specialized services.
“SMB and local-focused businesses continue to be a cornerstone for the association,” said Bill Dinan, president of the LSA. “Our members often provide core expertise to their SMB customers. SMBs' interest in working with a single provider that can offer multiple solutions is telling, and we are exploring dynamic ways to help our members leverage new opportunities and partnerships that provide solutions to address this 65 percent, while fueling their own growth as well.”
In addition to the SMB survey, nearly 400 attendees enjoyed three days of learning and insights, which was capped off by the 2019 Ad-to-Action Awards. Award winning companies included Brandify, FreshLime, LSM, PlaceIQ, PMG, SproutLoud, Simpli.fi, Uberall and Vendasta.
The annual LSA Annual General Meeting, which is conducted during the conference, saw Yelp Senior Vice President of Business & Corporate Development Chad Richard voted Chairman, Sharon Sweeney of the Fairway Group elected Secretary, and Kelly Thomas Nojaim of Microsoft elected Vice-Chairman.
“We are excited to have Chad take the reins as our Chairman. His unique understanding of the SMB community and the impact of partnerships will be pivotal as the association continues to evolve to meet the needs of its members,” said Dinan.
Yelp, the company that connects people with great local businesses and has shown successful use of partnerships to build a strong local ecosystem, has been an LSA partner and board member for nearly five years. Richard is a seasoned digital media executive with over 20 years of experience in creating and marketing innovative products.
“I am excited about the future of LSA and its ability to help facilitate partnerships and research that help the association’s membership community grow their businesses. Ultimately our goal is to help millions of local SMBs focus on their core businesses,” said Richard.
