Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts Roar Into Arizona for Season Finale Challenge
Compton, California (PRWEB) October 20, 2016 -- Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts are headed to Chandler, Arizona for the exciting culmination of the 15-round Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series this weekend October 22-23 at Wild Horse Motorsports Park. The two-day doubleheader not only presents an opportunity for Adler to solidify his position in the hotly contested Pro 4 division season standings with the final points paying round of the regular season, but he will also take on a field of what is expected to be more than 30 two and four-wheel drive trucks in the winner-take-all Lucas Oil Challenge Cup season-capping slugfest.
As Adler returns for the second time this year to kick off the weekend on the 9/10-mile course on the outskirts of Phoenix for the “4 Wheel Parts Off Road Nationals,” he looks to regain the form that earned him the first of his pair of this season’s trophies while racing among the sports elite as they seek to cap off their seasons on the podium.
“The year has not been without its challenges, but we’ve run hard at the front of the pack for the last four rounds at Reno and Lake Elsinore,” said Adler. “We know we had a great start to the year in Chandler and while we’ve fallen just short of bringing home the hardware, this team is going to do everything it takes to finish the season strong.”
With Saturday’s racing concluding the year-long point championship, Adler and his crew will then set their sights on Sunday’s Challenge Cup race: a win-or-go-home shootout that will stage the Pro 2 and Pro 4 divisions that normally compete separately on the track against each other in a no-holds-barred race to the checkered flag. And while the Pro 4 trucks traditionally have a competitive advantage, they will be handicapped by starting well behind the Pro 2 field and challenged to work their way through the pack as they attempt to catch and pass the two-wheel-drive competitors.
“Anything can happen during the Challenge Cup,” said Adler. “With 27,000 horsepower on the track and everyone battling for position, this is the most exciting race of the year for the fans. The real challenge is going to be staying out of trouble and running a strong, fast race while we’re fighting to be at the front when the dust settles.”
The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series 4 Wheel Parts Nationals takes place October 22 with the Challenge Cup the following day, October 23. Wild Horse Motorsports Park gates open to the spectators at 8:30 a.m. and feature a completely accessible paddock, allowing fans to visit with Team 4 Wheel Parts and Greg Adler.
