Lucky Dog Animal Rescue's First Annual Let's Get Lucky Casino Night Raises Over $16,000 For Homeless Pets
Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 16, 2013 -- Lucky Dog Animal Rescue (LDAR) is thrilled to announce that more than $16,000 was raised at Saturday night's first annual Let's Get Lucky Casino Night. Guests gambled the night away with all proceeds going to help the organization fulfill its mission of rescuing homeless dogs and cats.
The event happened one day after LDAR welcomed it's 1000th rescue animal of 2013. Waggle, a gorgeous terrier mix, was adopted right off of transport, going straight from a high kill shelter to a loving forever home on Friday night.
"It was an amazing night," said Mirah Horowitz, founder and executive director of Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. "We are so thrilled that so many people came out to support our animals."
LDAR would like to thank the sponsors who made its first annual Let's Get Lucky Casino Night, possible: Wagtime, Friendship Animal Hospital, Cantina Marina, Southpaws, Rover.com, Dogma Bakery, Creative Liquid, and Sylvia Herman.
