Lugana DOC Launches U.S. Communications Campaign, Hosts Grand Tasting in New York City November 5th, 2019
NEW YORK (PRWEB) October 01, 2019 -- Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC is pleased to announce the launch of an integrated communications campaign in the U.S. with events for press and trade that includes media relations and educational seminars. A Grand Tasting is scheduled on November 5, 2019 at The Redbury Hotel in midtown Manhattan from 12PM to 5PM. Guests will be able to taste a wide variety of Lugana DOC wines representing a multitude of styles from this historic Italian region. Educational seminars for beverage industry professionals and media will be held during the Grand Tasting event. The seminars will focus on the terroir, the unique soil composition of the region, and Turbiana, the indeginous grape of the Lugana DOC.
The picturesque Lugana DOC lies south of Italy’s largest lake, Lake Garda, partly in Veneto and partly in Lombardy. The region is surrounded by low morainic hills that were formed by the southern push of the great Alpine glaciers of the Ice Age. The lake and hills are significant attributes that formulate the distinct terroir and personality of the wine. The high quality Turbiana, the indignous grape of Lugana, is late ripening and as a result, extracts a lot of minerals and richness from the soil. There are five styles of Lugana wines produced from Turbiana: Lugana DOC, Superiore, Riserva, Vendemmia Tardiva (Late Harvest), and sparkling.
Lugana DOC is a great alternative for those palates who typically drink Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc. The wines are fresh, crisp, and aromatic, with an interesting balance between fruit and minerality. Thanks to its elegance and structure, Lugana DOC wine gets better in the bottle and ages with complexity and grace.
The twenty-four producers who will be in attendance at the Lugana DOC Grand Tasting event on November 5th, 2019 are Ancilla Lugana, Ca’ Dei Frati, Ca’ Lojera, Ca’ Maiol, Cascina Armea, Cascina Maddalena, Citari, Cobue, Colli Vaibo’, Corte Sermana, Malavasi, Marangona, Montonale, Nunzio Ghiraldi, Ottella, Pasini San Giovanni, Perla Del Garda, Pilandro, Selva Capuzza, Sgreva, Tenuta Roveglia, Tinazzi, Tommasi, Zenato.
