Lumense(TM), an Atlanta-based developer of real-time sensors capable of continuously measuring the concentration of trace chemicals and biologicals in gases and liquids, announced today that it was named a finalist in the Imagine H2O(TM) Water Infrastructure Challenge. As a finalist, Lumense will participate in Imagine H2O’s (IH2O) Accelerator Program, which offers access to IH2O’s global network of reference customers, water industry partners, investors, and mentors.

“We are honored that our SensorIT(TM) technology platform, and the opportunity for continuous, real-time monitoring of water resources it provides, has been recognized by Imagine H2O,” said Mike Slawson, Lumense’s Chief Executive Officer. “We believe that IH2O’s Accelerator Program will bring great benefit to us as we define and introduce, later this year, our first water monitoring product.”

The global competition attracted entrants from 20 countries, including the United States. Imagine H2O's judging panel, which includes leading industry experts from venture capital firms, water utilities, and engineering businesses, based its selection of twelve finalists on their market viability, value proposition, and go-to-market strategy. Competition winners and finalists will be honored at Water Gala'15, sponsored by Levi Strauss & Co., on March 18 in San Francisco.
