You can't get great people if you don't provide a world-class environment for people to do their work.

The Washington Business Journal has selected Lurn, Inc. as a Best Place to Work for 2021. Lurn was selected for the second year in a row because of its culture of caring, respect, diversity, and its deeply held mission to empower entrepreneurs all around the world.

The Best Places to Work awards celebrate Washington, DC-area companies that prioritize organizational culture and creating strong connections to the workplace for employees.

"Without great people, you can’t have a great company," said Anik Singal, founder and CEO of Lurn. “And you can’t get great people if you don’t provide a world-class environment for people to do their work.”

Lurn’s culture includes a commitment to its global mission of creating an army of entrepreneurs that can change the world and the fundamental belief that everyone who works at the company is an entrepreneur capable of tackling any problem, big or small.

The winners of the award are determined based on a quantitative survey of Washington-area employees, administered by a third-party organization. Respondents were asked to rank their organization on qualities such as team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders and coworkers, manager effectiveness, communication, work-life balance and alignment with company goals.
