Lynxspring, Inc. (https://www.lynxspring.com), a premier developer and provider of open, software and hardware platforms for smart buildings and device-to-enterprise integration and applications, today announced the availability of a new, Niagara Framework® IP programmable, JENEsys® Edge™ 534 4G LTE Controller with an embedded cellular modem for direct remote monitoring and control through a dedicated secure cellular VPN.

Part of Lynxspring’s portfolio of Edge Enabled™ products, the JENEsys Edge 534 4G LTE Controller supports secure, bi-directional communication, remote access and the exchange of data among today's intelligent buildings, equipment, edge devices and Cloud services. It enables users to remotely access, monitor and control systems and equipment using Niagara 4 with secure access to building and equipment data via cellular VPN.

The JENEsys Edge 534 4G LTE Controller is available packaged with Lynxspring’s E2E Private Wireless Network and an E2E Easy Data Service Plan. With the reliability, coverage, security and simplicity of Lynxspring’s data plans, the JENEsys Edge 534 4G LTE has been designed for easy installation and commissioning, and the cellular modem interface provides instant communication upon startup.

The JENEsys Edge 534 4G LTE Controller features the NimbelLink Skywire® LTE CAT 1 embedded cellular modem. This modem was specifically designed to connect devices such as the JENEsys Edge 534 4G LTE controller to a cellular network. It is certified for deployment within the U.S. on the Verizon 4G LTE network, enabling easy integration with no further carrier testing requirements.

“We have removed the barriers preventing organizations from being able to take advantage of cellular capabilities for remote connectivity, monitoring and control by a building and equipment controller,” said Marc Petock, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of Lynxspring. “Advanced cellular communications technology has enabled new potential for building automation, integration, remote monitoring and control solutions. By carrying direct communication over a cellular network, system integrators and contractors, and OEMs can offer remote management solutions that are easy and economical to deploy, minimize site visits for configuration and maintenance, and reliably deliver key data in real time.”

The JENEsys Edge 534 4G LTE is ideal for use in commercial buildings, both new and retrofit, multi-site environments and equipment such as air handling units, roof top units, boilers, fan coil units and heat pumps. Additional applications include connectivity to remote locations for primary or backup connections and data exchange and to set-up an initial cellular network to obtain data points and readings that can be utilized in the development of a final building operation solution.

Advanced cellular solutions are providing a means to integrate all building systems and equipment controls into one remotely controllable system. Companies can monitor, control and manage multiple facilities and systems, and individual equipment from anywhere without having to go through a building network, as they continue to improve efficiency and reduce operating expenses.

The JENEsys Edge 534 4G LTE Controller cellular connectivity allows companies to monitor and control equipment virtually anywhere, even in hard-to-reach and temporary locations.
