New Jersey Association for Justice Awards Highest Honor to Michael Maggiano
Fort Lee, New Jersey (PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- Michael Maggiano, founder and senior member of Maggiano, DiGirolamo & Lizzi, Trial Lawyers, Fort Lee, New Jersey and New York City, received the New Jersey Association for Justice’s highest award on June 20, 2014. The Installation Dinner took place at the Ocean Place Resort in Long Branch, New Jersey. Mr. Maggiano was honored with the New Jersey Association for Justice Gold Medal for his distinguished service to the association, and the advancement of justice through teaching trial skills to thousands of lawyers and for the cutting edge litigation he has participated in as lead counsel in New Jersey and around the country.
New Jersey Association for Justice President, Francisco Rodriguez, introduced Mr. Maggiano to a standing ovation of over 400 attendees and said in part the following, “The New Jersey Association for Justice presents it highest and most coveted award, The GOLD MEDAL for Distinguished Services to Michael J. Maggiano, Esq., for his extraordinary contribution to the law of torts, his devotion to the mission of the New Jersey Association for Justice, his brilliance in educating trial lawyers in New Jersey and around the country as shown by his leadership as a Past President of NJAJ, and his tremendous ability and success in achieving verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. The members, board and officers of NJAJ thank you for your dedication to the civil justice system and your commitment to the ideal of Justice For All.”
Michael Maggiano accepted this great honor by thanking his fellow attorneys for their relentless efforts to fight for what is right. “And because of you, trial by trial, case by case, little win by little win and sometimes a big win, we collectively change the world for the better.” With humility, Mr. Maggiano acknowledged his peers saying “Tonight as I stand here, I stand on your shoulders. You have made my life so exciting just to be around you. To be like a pygmie and walk amongst you. I stand on the shoulders of giants. Thank you all for being my friends.”
The New Jersey Association for Justice is a service association with over 2,000 members throughout New Jersey dedicating to the preservation and advancement of the civil justice system and trial by jury. Michael Maggiano served as president of the New Jersey Association for Justice in 1989-1990.
This is not the first time that Michael Maggiano has been acknowledged for his contributions to the legal community. In 2013, Mr. Maggiano was honored by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education in association of the New Jersey State Bar Association with it's highest honor, the Alfred C. Clapp Award for Excellence in Legal Education.
