Marianjoy Receives Generous Coleman Foundation Grant
Wheaton, Illinois (PRWEB) September 23, 2013 -- The Coleman Foundation recently awarded a $200,000 grant to Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital of Wheaton, Illinois, to support the creation of the Marianjoy Assistive Rehabilitation Technology Institute.
The grant includes a challenge that will match dollar for dollar up to $100,000 in contributions received by Marianjoy through the end of the year. “We are grateful to the Coleman Foundation for their vision and providing Marianjoy with this unique opportunity.” explains Kathleen Yosko, Marianjoy President and CEO. “We are reaching out for community support to maximize this grant and create awareness about the exciting transformations taking place at Marianjoy.”
Expansion of the Institute will centralize the resources of three centers: the Assistive Communication and Daily Living Center, the Driver Rehabilitation Center, and AbilityLinks, Marianjoy’s award-winning job opportunity website for individuals with disabilities. Through the Institute, individuals with disabilities will benefit from adaptive devices that include therapeutic interventions to improve independence and the opportunity for education, training, and employment.
