Author Marie George’s Entrancing Debut Captivates Young Readers
Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- First-time author Marie George offers her young readers with delight and inspiration through her beautifully crafted mouse’s story. The Adventure of Bitty Mouse recounts the bold quest of a young mouse that searches for his lost father only to find himself lost and trapped in a human’s mouse cage.
The Adventure of Bitty Mouse introduces readers to Bitty, a young mouse that loves to listen to his mother’s recounting of how he got his name. As he listens to his mother telling him the story, however, he notices sadness in Mother Mouse’s face each time she mentions about his father. Father Mouse went out to find food but has never come back home. The cat or the big crow may have caught him, but Bitty feels that his father is still alive. Where can he be? No one else can help his mother find Father Mouse but him. So, he says goodbye to his mother and begins his journey and adventure to finding his father. First, he ran one way, then another. He ran up one hill that the plow had made and down another. Until a boy finds him, brings him home and puts him on a cage where a big surprise awaits him. Will he ever set himself free, find his father and see his mother again?
In The Adventure of Bitty Mouse, the author has written a beautiful tale that will not only captivate children, but adults as well. Enhanced by its vibrant illustrations that go well with its lovely backdrop and lesson-filled story line, this book is an ideal teaching tool and a perfect instrument for parent-child bonding.
